Application is invited for the post of ‘Sr. Project Mechanic’ in Advanced Imaging Centre for, IIT Kanpur. The Post is temporary and on contractual basis for a period of one year. The period may be extended based on performance and requirement.

Essential Qualification: 3 years engineering diploma or High school + ITI + 5 years of relevant experience

Desirable Qualification: The candidate should be able to prepare samples in sample preparation lab, to operate TEM mill and tools for sample preparation. The candidate should be able to manage all work related to administration, purchase, import, stock verification, maintenance, hospitality, gas pipe line maintenance, Air Compressor maintenance and all the electrical work. He should be able to coordinate with all the service providers and vendors. He should be able in making indents and keeping miscellaneous records of all the equipment for the smooth functioning of centre. The candidate must 5 have years of experience on aforementioned areas.

Scale of pay: Rs. 10800-900-27000

The institute reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualification and experience. Only shortlisted candidate will be called for interview. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
